We are delighted to announce SBL’s recent award of the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) Microsoft 365 Agreement worth £190m.
What was required?
Both Information Systems and Services (ISS) and the Technical Services Management Provision Team (TSMP), part of the MOD, were inviting bids for the renewal of their Microsoft Office Automation M365 E5 Software and other Microsoft products.
They required potential providers to provide pricing for the Microsoft requirement across the Defence portfolio over a 3 year period with options for two 1-year extensions.
As part of a move towards centralised contract management across the MOD, ISS also had a requirement to aggregate 10 separate expiring agreements through 2019 – 2020 into this agreement on expiration.
Alongside the pricing, SBL provided an overview of their Licence Solution Provider service models concerning their Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and Microsoft Cloud Services Programme. Our competitive bid included product updates and upgrades throughout the duration of the contract term, which was a crucial component of the MOD’s scoping requirements.
Delivering MOD’s digital transformation
SBL will now look forward to working alongside MOD ISS Commercial to deliver the MOD’s modernisation and digital transformation strategy. With more than 30 years’ experience working deep within defence environments and a service capability specifically aligned to the Microsoft Cloud, SBL feel uniquely placed to provide an enhanced level of service that will enable all parties to realise their full potential.
